The Celano Sports Group was founded in 2010 as an amateur sports association to promote athletics, in particular, trail running, and at the same time the mountain territory and the environmental and historical beauties of the Sirente Velino Regional Natural Park and its villages.
Since its inception, it has organized trail races that cross the various itineraries of the Sirente Velino Regional Natural Park, starting from the historical centers. In addition to sporting events, it organizes social and cultural events.
In December 2021, it transformed into a limited liability amateur sports club, still being a non-profit organization.
